2008 Chicago Sprints

The Twenty-Eighth Annual Chicago Sprints Regatta is rapidly approaching. This is our biggest event of the season. It's great fun whether you are participating, volunteering or cheering on our own LPBC teams as they race down the lagoon.

Volunteers are still needed from both the rowing & paddling sides of the house, so if you have time, be sure to email Nell at nell_shuttleworth@yahoo.com

Check out pictures from last years event at:

For more info. on this years race, check out our website

If you are not participating, please see the info. below if you plan on using the club this weekend:

Rowers other than those competing will not be permitted on the lagoon Saturday and
Sunday.

Paddlers will be permitted to launch but will be required to go directly north beyond the Fullerton bridge. To insure that paddlers do not inadvertently disrupt any of the races, the Dockmaster will direct all boats including kayaks as to when they may launch. Please
be patient as you may be asked to wait five or ten minutes before you may launch. Paddlers, please use extra care when return to the dock. Stay to the edge and move as quickly as possible out of the course.
